Kanban
Best for: controlling inventory with a pull system
Kanban cards signal replenishment only when material is actually consumed, capping inventory and exposing flow problems that unlimited stock quietly hides. - Months 3–6: Kamishibai for standard-work discipline; PDCA as the workflow for your growing idea pipeline.
- Months 6–12: Value stream mapping to pick your battles; fishbone/5 Whys and A3 for the hard recurring problems it exposes; kanban where inventory hides the flow.
- Year 2: Hoshin Kanri, once you have real improvement capacity worth pointing at strategic goals.
